KÉK is a pool of architects with the aim of making Hungary’s contemporary architecture together with its whole-social connections more visible and part of global architectural life. Today with numerous events KÉK is the most active civil organization in urban-architectural in Hungary. The annual programs they sponsor, „100-year-old houses“ and Architecture Film Days have become mainstays of the cultural life of Budapest.
FUGA is the Architecture Centre of the Budapest Architect’s Chamber and plays a role as a mediator between architecture, urban planning and other arts. Located on Ferenciek tere, one of the most animated squares in town, it has an architectural bookstore and offers cultural and exhibition programs. FUGA is open to the visitors seven days a week and offers facilities for presentations and workshops.
guiding architects is an international network for guided architectural tours and travel. Our members are independent companies, offering professionally organized architectural tours. During the tours current architectural developments, the urban planning context, social and political Backgrounds and other subjects are presented in an informed and entertaining manner. What originated as an idea at the end of the 1990s in Berlin, Barcelona and Hamburg, has grown since then into a network of more than 40 destinations. Yearly meetings have taken place up to now in Zurich, Berlin, Vienna, Porto, Rome, in the Ruhr area, in Barcelona, Athens, Dubai, Istanbul, Copenhagen, Turin, Santiago de Compostela and Venice. The 2018 annual meeting will take place in Budapest.
